Yeah, I was disappointed in this Branford show. Lots of nice little fills and runs all around the edges, but there isn't a lot of soloing going on. Branford deserves major props for chops, but I agree with it is the weakest of the Branford shows.

I'm jealous that you were there - I wasn't going to shows at this point, but in 89-90 when they played the Forum I always went on the night that had no guests. How'd it look that night? From the recording you could get the impression that the band was more or less ignoring him, though I will add that my opinion may have been tainted by some of the comments I read on the show.

It seemed the band was into him. Jerry had a smile the whole night. It wasn't "grumpy Jerry" I had a lot of interaction with Branford using my hands to indicate that he should "turn it up" He looked like he was having a good time. Not a bad show by any means but not epic. Some of the best moments are the transition from Scarlet into Fire.
